Lilac Minds is a counselling and career guidance practice in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This site sells one thing: a six-day career assessment with a written report at the end.
What we do
Most people choose a career from the three options they happened to hear about. We test what somebody is actually like and actually good at, then show them which of the paths in front of them fit that — with the reasoning written down, so they can disagree with it.
The assessment costs ₹5,000 once and takes about twenty minutes a day for six days. There is no subscription and no upsell built into the report.
How it works
- Days one and two establish personality and interests — what you are like, and what you are drawn to.
- Days three onward are aptitude tests chosen from those results and from your stage of study or work, so a class 9 student and a career switcher do not sit the same battery.
- The last day is your report: your profile, the fields that fit it, and the specific courses, colleges or roles to look at next.
Who interprets the results
Prarthana Thaker, our counsellor. She reads results, answers questions about them, and runs the optional sessions for people who want to talk a report through. Sessions are available in English, Hindi or Gujarati.
What we will not do
We will not tell anybody who to be. An assessment describes where you are today; it does not predict a future, guarantee an admission or a job, and does not close a door. Where our comparison group is too small to be meaningful, the report says so and reports no percentile rather than dressing up a number. And where somebody needs clinical help rather than career guidance, we say that instead of selling them this.
